Manicotti Formaggio

Manicotti filled with ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, served with sauteed chicken tossed with spinach and roasted bell peppers in a parmesan cream sauce.   1. The process is the same as the above recipe. Just leave out the bacon completely and substitute spinach for the tomatoes and use roasted red peppers instead of scallions
  2. Make the Chicken and Spinach Cream Sauce
  3. Add flour, parmesan cheese heavy cream and milk. Use a wire whisk to whip all ingredients together. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and allow to simmer. Add manicotti to pan to heat the cheeses. Serve with shrimp and chopped scallions.
  4. Melt butter in a large sauce pan over medium heat. Add garlic and bacon and shrimp. Saute for 5 minutes. Remove Shrimp.
  5. The Olive Garden Recipe also calls for shrimp, roma tomatoes, and scallions.
  6. Carbonara is an Italian dish based on parmesan cheese, eggs and cured fatty pork. Pancetta is used but bacon can be substitued. Cream is sometimes added in some carbonara recipes.
  7. Make the Shrimp Carbonara Sauce
  8. NOTE: You can always substitute frozen manicotti. Cook according to package directions and then just drop into the sauce. In a hurry, just use spaghetti or linquine
  9. Fill manicotti shells by squeezing the cheese mixture into both sides of each shell.
  10. Spoon cheese mixture into a large ziploc bag. Snip off a small bit of of one of the bottom corners of the bag.
  11. Make The Manicotti
  12. Cover the meat with Italian Salad dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  13. You will need 1/4 lb of chicken strips or shrimp which has been peel and devained.
  14. Marinate Your Meat
